Tennessee Baseball Heads to College World Series

Schedule Released for 2022 Season

The University of Tennessee baseball team has released its official 2022 composite schedule, featuring a challenging slate of opponents as the Volunteers aim for their second College World Series title in three years.

The 2022 schedule includes 34 home games at Lindsey Nelson Stadium and 17 road games, along with three neutral site contests. The Volunteers will face 11 teams that appeared in the 2021 NCAA Tournament, including six opponents ranked in the top 15 of the preseason polls.

Tennessee's non-conference schedule features a home-and-home series with ACC power Louisville and a three-game set at home against Pac-12 contender Arizona. The Volunteers will also host midweek contests against in-state rival Vanderbilt, Big 12 foe Kansas, and SEC West rival Mississippi State.

In SEC play, Tennessee will face each of its divisional opponents three times, with two series at home and one on the road. The Volunteers will also play a pair of three-game series against SEC East rivals Florida and Georgia.

The regular season concludes with a three-game series at home against Vanderbilt from May 19-21. The SEC Tournament will be held in Hoover, Alabama from May 24-29, with the NCAA Tournament beginning on June 3.
